Spring 2000 Filament Mirror, mirror, what's that writing on the wall?
Is there a need for NASPL lotteries to create subsidiaries? Surely, nearly every Director is unable to ignore the din of the Internet knocking on their door, in spite of extreme federal political views. Just as surely, many Directors might feel more comfortable if the din was coming from another unit within the Lottery complex. Or perhaps Lottery marketers might see the potential of an industry-wide Ingenio, organizing the pursuit of new product development within multimedia applications. The lotteries that can accurately assess the growth potential of confined initiatives within their overall operation will be the first to see the need to give them room to grow.
Establishing a sub around some of these meaty market segments looks pretty appetizing when performance is being sandwiched between flat sales and missed opportunities. Hopefully for the lottery industry, when it comes to implementing this organizational approach, someone will bite.
